Art & History of Quilts

A new exhibit at the Ravalli County Museum created in cooperation with the Bitterroot Quilt Guild.

Time & Location

May 23, 2022, 3:00 AM

Ravalli County Museum, 205 Bedford St, Hamilton, MT 59840, USA

About the Event

This exhibit showcases antique quilts gathered by the Heritage Quilters, a Bitterroot Quilt Guild mini-group, and offers a glimpse into the world of quilting in days past. Whether made to warm loved ones, display needlework skills or decorate a home. Each quilt contains more than just fabrics and thread, they tell the stories of those who made them, those who snuggled unter their warmth and those who appreciate them for the works of art they are today.

Visit the Ravalli County Museum this summer and explore a beautiful assemblage of antique quilts, sewing notions, photos and interactive displays.
